How to PING-test your Domain Name for Windows Computers

1. click the Windows Button START then RUN
2. type in CMD and hit OK and a the command prompt will appear
3. then type in the following command PING www.MYDOMAIN.COM
4. Then you will get the IP address your local Domain Name Server entry response for your Domain Name. (replace with actual domain name)

Option 2: (for advanced users)
run in dos prompt nslookup mydomain.com and you will get the name servers involved in the translation of your Domain Name to DNS entries. Note that for International (NON-US) name servers it takes around 24-76 hours for the DNS changes to propagate.
