How to install Pixelpost on your account:
1) Go to http://www.pixelpost.org/ and get the latest release from the "Download" button on the right. 2) Open CPanel then Legacy File Manager and go inside the public_html folder. 3) use the Upload File option and upload the zip file that you downloaded from the PixelPost website. 4) When the upload is complete you will see the zip file on the account listed. Select it and you will see new option on the right top of the screen saying "extract". click it to extract the archive files. 5) Create MySQL database and User (read here: http://support.maiahost.com/mysql-da...er-logins.html ) You can create database name pixelpost and user admin 6) Open your website now to start the software installation for example www.mydomain.com and then go to the administrator page (just add /admin to the url) and you will get the installation prompt. 7) Click "Begin Installation". On the next page click "Proceed with Installation" since we have already created the database logins and we can proceed with setting them up in pixelpost. On the next page again click Begin Installation (note that our servers are fully compatible with Pixelpost and all the tests will pass). 8) On the Database Settings page, put: Database Host value to be localhost Database Name and Database Username to the database name and user you created earlier (copy from CPanel->MySQL databases to make sure you have the correct database and user prefix) Database Password value to the password you set up earlier. Note that there is no prefix to the password. Database Prefix -- keep the same!!! Click "Test Connection". Should say "Connection Successful!" otherwise you didn't set the mysql database right, and need to re-do it again. Click "Continue Installation" 9) Administrator details page Default Language -- select your own. English is default one. Administrator username and Administrator password are the ones that you use to add/edit your Pixelpost. May use whatever you want, just make sure you put short username from 6 to 12 characters. Contact Email -- use your email i, if you forget your password or login you can use the recovery option to get it. Click "Verify Details" and if tests pass click "Continue Installation" 10) On Settings Page, enter Title for your PixelPost blog as well as Sub Title as the description of your website. Also you should set your correct time zone if you want, but its optional. Click "Verify Details" and if tests pass click "Continue Installation" then again: Click "Verify Details" and if tests pass click "Continue Installation" then click FINISH. Congratulations, you successfully installed PixelPost. Now you can use your Administrator Username and Password to start adding pictures.
